Weapons Artist, Anton Bång has created this FG42 Rifle to improve his metal and wood texturing whilst also improving his workflow. In this project, he follows a sub-div workflow in Maya for base shapes and then later ZBrush for Booleans. This article showcases the entire workflow for the making of this weapon, including, references, full weapon modelling workflow and texturing, adding realistic wear & tear and presentation for rendering.
